Are you quilting along with Color Blocks? I expected a hundred or so people to follow along with my free Color Block Scrap Quilt Along journey, but thousands of quilters are busting through their scraps and quilting along. With every month's free pattern I include a blank quilt planning sheet that you can color to see what your quilt will look like. Quilters have been very creative in making these patterns their own and they are inspiring me to try their color combinations!
July's pattern is She Sells Seashells and instead of using only one color for the blocks, I used red blocks and blue blocks and turned this quilt into a version of an American Flag for the Fourth of July.
July's machine quilting tutorial is Echoed Shells, but for this flag quilt I went back to February's machine quilting tutorial and quilted Bacon Stitch (waves that look like the edge of cooked bacon!).
Last weekend I made another new dress to wear to church and to a Fourth of July Picnic.
I was worried it was too subtle and people might not notice the Fourth of July theme. ;-)
Read HERE to learn about the dress pattern and the adjustments I made to it.
I was excited when I realized that this was an Olympic year and I could wear my dress to cheer on Team USA!
Hi Debby Is this the ruler class you were talking about on FBook or are you making a new one?
I have 2 questions. 1. Can you go back to the past. Posts? 2. Can the quilting ruler, you talk about, be used on Bernina. Your dress is cute. Thanks
Debby has wonderful classes at this link! Highly recommend!!
